S1 "NEW" standard magazine disassembly

S1 “New” Standard Magazine Disassembly Instructions

Before disassembling your S1 “New” Standard Magazine, make sure the magazine is completely unloaded and free of ammunition.

Step 1: Locate the Tool Notch

Turn the magazine upside down so the base plate is facing you.

On the bottom of the base plate, locate the “S” marking. In the center of the “S,” there is a built-in tool notch designed to help with disassembly.

Step 2: Insert a Tool Into the Notch

Using a small punch, pick, or another pointed object, carefully press into the tool notch located in the middle of the “S” on the base plate.

Apply steady pressure to depress the internal locking tab.

Step 3: Slide the Base Plate Forward

While keeping pressure on the locking tab, slide the base plate forward and away from the magazine body.

Move slowly and maintain control of the base plate, as the spring inside the magazine is under tension.

Step 4: Remove the Base Plate

Once the base plate clears the locking tab, carefully slide it completely off the magazine body.

Keep one hand over the bottom of the magazine to prevent the spring and internal components from releasing suddenly.

Step 5: Remove the Spring and Follower

With the base plate removed, slowly release spring tension.

Carefully pull the spring and follower assembly out of the magazine body.

Step 6: Inspect or Clean Components

Once disassembled, you may inspect or clean the magazine body, follower, spring, and base plate.

Do not use harsh chemicals or excessive force on any component.

Step 7: Reassembly

To reassemble, insert the follower and spring back into the magazine body in the same orientation they were removed.

Compress the spring carefully, then slide the base plate back onto the bottom of the magazine body until it locks securely into place.

Before use, confirm the base plate is fully seated and locked.

Important Safety Note

Always verify that the magazine is unloaded before disassembly, cleaning, inspection, or maintenance. Use caution when removing the base plate, as the internal spring is under tension.
